Agreed, moving a piece of painted area on single layer is perfect (in latest version - beta3).

But I found that (still) another bug occurs - some brushes act different than expected -
e.g. above mentioned "FX Image Sharpen" blurs picture instead of making it sharp. :o
The brush comes from one of free resources on the net:

On my PC at work Krita works ok, but at home it is broken :/ (latest beta 3). I did fresh install with deletion of all folders in appData etc. It was not fixed. And enabling disabling opengl do not helps either.
This is how move tool looks :

I think this may be glitch with my GPU. I will test it some more.
OK after some testing I had to revert to krita krita_x64_2.7.9.5. I have no idea why

I remember that you had before problems with your home computer... Must be some hardware related stuff :(

We're having trouble with the x86 build, but this looks set to be the 2.8.0 release...

It fixes JoseConseco's bug, I'm pretty sure of that, a bunch of crashes when painting, some issues with the pixelize, oilpaint and raindrops filters, the crash reporter is improved, saving 16 bit/channel PSD images works now and some other random crashes are fixed... Oh, and the OpenGL canvas is much more robust :-)

Now also done:

Ha!~ After months of an old krita, I update it then another version comes out!
I can't remember what version I had but I will state that the update help fix most of the problems like brushes and crashing.

boudewijn wrote:some issues with the pixelize, oilpaint and raindrops filters

I use to only have a few brushes that worked but now a majority now does (I haven't updated to the latest 2.8 yet) but still are not working so well. Though quite a few brushes still take a while to make the marks. I'll get back to you if it fixes the brushes.

Can I just hijack this post here for a sec, could someone link me to the reason as why when we want to install brushes it we have to install two-three types of files? I tried installing brushes last night and some of these didn't seem to work - so I'm wondering if it is a complexity issue and why isn't there a system slightly similar to gimp/photoshop which just display the brush? Perhaps it is too hard since they are dynamic in nature? If confusion is an issue perhaps types of subgroups (aka - expand watercolours and see the watercolour brushes)?
Woops. Massive hijack but if someone could link me why the devs choose this that would be cool and enlightening :3 ( since google/ search is failing me right now)

Oh! Also is the loading bar meant to work? Every time I have loaded something it starts a 0%, sit there for a while, then open (or in the old version crash) so it seems strange that is doesn't work. Though it may be fixed in the latest version. I will respond ;D

Ah, if you hadn't updated for a couple of months, then you're in for a treat... We really fixed a lot of Windows bugs since December! As for installing brushes, we're working on a kind of brush pack file format together with a group of students from the university of Toulouse, so that is being worked on.

Okay, thanks for another update.
But old problems remain... as regards some brushes that should work in "Unsharp" filter or "Gaussian Blur"
or something like that. :|

Another strange thing is as follows: when closing Krita (by clicking on "X" button), there is an bugreport that says "Krita closed unexpectedly". I saw it on Win7 and Win8 that are based on Intel Core5 processors. And there is Kaspersky Internet security running if that's important.
I used auto-sent option there to get Boud to know about this situation.

The brush "Block_tilt" is not working (does nothing if selected) tried both:
krita_x64_2.8.0.2.msi
and
krita_x86_2.8.0.3.msi

system is windows 8.1 64bit (intel/nvidia if important)

It is working just fine on latest build. Do you have stylus that supports tilt at all?

Block_mix_tilt; Ink_tilt_10; Ink_tilt_20 are working fine
only
Block_tilt and Pencil_tilt are not working at all (even the brush outline isn't displayed at all)

Must be something hardware specific - both are working perfect for me.

Thank you boudewijn for being so dedicated, Everytime I use Krita I think of your hard work and I'm thankful. I never thought Krita would be developed for windows so fast.

Hiya Boud,
after resting due to major Krita update, would you like to answer?:
- what is that and how one can get rid of it (in latest version) ?
