Hi!
Please give these new installers a trial. We plan to announce the 2.8.2 bugfix release this evening. http://heap.kogmbh.net/downloads/krita_x64_2.8.2.0.msi http://heap.kogmbh.net/downloads/krita_x86_2.8.2.0.msi Most work at the moment is going into some big issues for 2.9, like the resources manager, MVC refactoring and HDR color selectors, but there are some nice improvements: * add support for reading PSD layer groups * New splash screen with recent files and links to the Krita website * save tags with special characters properly (bug 332708) * fix removing tags * restore native file dialogs on Windows * fix a bunch of memory leaks |

Nice! It seems to me smoother than the previous version. Some of those "memory leaks" maybe caused Krita to freak out very often while recording with camstudio.
After a couple of recording sessions with 2.8.2 it seems to get along much better. A really really minor thing: In a dual monitor setup (windows) all the programs remember their last position if previously the user does this simple task: open the window, move it to the desired screen and then close it again. Krita seems to "forget" its position in every session, meaning that it resets in opening at the main screen. It doesn't have to do with the latest release but I had to ask ![]() |

Its actually working pretty pretty good, first time I can work with Krita in windows feelling very happy. Today I'm gonna start recording a couple of videos of the concepts we are doing for our game, hope to show it in the forums after the kickstarter release. By the way, I was using filter masks and got a crash after hitting space bar (I don't remember why I hit spacebar but it made the softare crash for no reason).

I need to fix the startup screen... It's irritating me too, now that I've got that cintiq to test with...
As for the crash, is it reproducible? If so, please do a bug report with the exact sequence needed to reproduce, and I'll take a look. |

Simply THANK YOU! Since Krita became very solid piece of software I dont have much to say. Almost missing times when it was younger and filled with show stoppers
![]() Nah... Not really - love it as it is now. |

Nice update. It's working well for me so far. One quibble, the windows import image file dialog does not have an All (*.*) filter. Kind of annoying if you can't remember if the image is jpg or png or whatnot.

Seems to work nicely, and the overall feeling is a bit smoother for me too.
This probably goes to the wrong place now, but I couldn't quite place it into a specific thread in the forums.. It's about a couple of very small but irritating things I run into each time I paint with Krita. here: http://sakarileppa.com/img/2D/krita_gripes.jpg (ignore the perspective tool part, somebody was working on a new tool, so it's already under control) |

Yes, some good points. The layer box drag and drop problem is out of our hands, that's defined by Qt. For the other issues, apart from the perspective grid which as you say is already reported and worked on, please do make bug reports (nice and detailed does the trick...).
