Losing Hotkey Customizations

Sun May 04, 2014 10:02 pm
Hey there! Am really enjoying Krita's flexible UI. Have been customizing some of the hotkeys of various functions to meet my needs. Sadly a number of times now all of my customizations have been lost. :( It's starting to get me down now. Is there some kind of hotkey that I might be pressing that is resetting them without me knowing? Until I get this figured out I was wondering what file houses the changes I am making to the keymap? At the very least I'd like to try and back up the changes I make so that I can restore them if they get lost again. Thanks for your help.

Basically, the problem is that Krita somehow resets all the custom shortcuts everytime you hit the button "configure shortcuts". So to avoid it you should do all your shortcuts customization in a single session or using the workaround involving the krita.rc text file you can read about in this thread:

Hope this helps. ;)
