Cannot access personal templates

Sat Jul 05, 2014 11:48 am
Whenever I create a new template to use, I can't load it up upon starting Krita. I would first need to create a blank document and then make a new document to be able to use my personal templates. It gets a little tiring.

I'm sure it's not too much of a problem to fix it, but please resolve this issue.

You can createt the image once and then make it a template with File->Create template from image. Then in the the new image dialog you can check the checkbox to always open this template.

I can't even do that. Krita will always take me to the "custom templates" section and will never show me any custom templates I create unless I create a new document from the menu. I have "always use this template" selected but it doesn't do what it says.

I should note that this is something I did in an attempt to resolve the issue before I made this thread. So really the two main problems here is that I can't access my custom templates and the "always use this template" feature doesn't work as it should.

I used the krita installer, I don't think I ever used/transferred/touched/etc. an other krita folder other than mine.

I'm using the latest windows build, I have an up-to-date windows 7 OS

I'm pretty sure I would have authorization (if that's what you meant) to write in the krita/template folder, since my account has administrative power.
