Its not a complain - I am just curious. Why Krita's uninstalling time is so long while installing takes fraction of it?

Well, that's a question you'd better ask Miscrosoft :-). They provide the installer platform, MSI, and the tool to build packages for MSI, WiX. I'm guessing that it's optmized for a fairly small number of files, and especially the icon set that comes with Krita provides a huge number of files. Actually, someone should go through the icon set and remove what's not needed, that would make the package much smaller.

Perspective transform works like a boss, but at the cost of the free transform - custom points which is now nonfunctional - switches to default as soon as you place a point!

Is this intentional, feature being phased out, am I missing something, and is there someplace that tells me what the two buttons - recursively and decorations do for this tool?

It's not intentional -- Dmitry is looking into the regressions. If you want to help, you can add a bug report about the regressions you've found at bugs.kde.org.

Hi, druban!

Could you explain what exactly doesn't work in the free transform tool? Afaik Free Transform Tool doesn't have have custom points. Only Warp Tool has it, and it works perfectly. What exactly did you mean?

Please excuse my complete idiocy. I totally meant to type warp. It is the warp tool that is malfunctioning in a specific usage. I can't tell if it Is connected to those two buttons at the bottom because I don't know what they do and frankly I can't quite tell if they are even on or off.

But here are the steps to recreate the error:
make a selection, any shape.
switch to the transform tool, warp setting, custom button.
Place some points.
lock points has not been pressed yet.
try to move a point.
Tool switches to default, point moves erratically, warping is possible
switch to custom again, all your points vanish.
tool does not work normally even if points are not touched before locking.
As soon as any point is moved, tool switches to default. Warping works as expected but unlock is grayed out.
Happens with mouse or Wacom.

Thanks for checking back.
Will bug report as well if it's a new bug.

Thanks for the report! I've fixed that today. Wait for a new Windows build.

Thank you so much! You guys are great. I have been getting windows builds from this thread when Boudewijn puts one together, but is there a buildbot type automatic compiler that has nightlies for Windows?

No, we don't have a buildbot system that produces installers yet. It's still mostly manual work!

I thought so! I appreciate it a lot.

Is it a routine ind of task? What I mean is, if it is easy to do but just time consuming, if you posted instructions on exactly what you do I could volunteer to keep Windows builds current and free up your time that way... I'm not a programmer but I could get by with some instructions and some trial and error. Seems like there might be some demand for regular Windows builds of Krita separate from the rest of the KDE software...

It should be quite routine, but every, every time I try to make a new build, something crops up that needs attention :-(

Just wondering Boud - what sort of problems keep cropping up? At Randa some people started to discuss Windows CI - so if they're build problems it is possible they'll not be as much of a problem in the future.
