ok, it's just a detail but I don't think it involve lot of developpement to do it :

in Windows8 the Krita icon is sort of pixelated



is it easy to fix ? (i add others icons so you can see how a regular icon looks like)

I have to admit I never even investigated how to properly set Windows 8 tiles

it would be nice to update that graphic. It makes the application look low quality with an icon like that. We might just need a higher resolution version that the exe uses. I imagine that is all it is using.

Ico files can have multiple image included in them. We might need to have different resolutions included. I imagine there is only one version right now

Okay -- we've got the icon up to 1024 px, so that should be possible.

Making more professional, what do you think about making a "flat icon" design for more integration with modern OS ? It's quite fast to do, if needed I can try something

Yes, please! Something that's recognizable but still fits with the Windows design and is high-res would be awesome!
