Hi,
i maked a fresh install of linux mint today (3.13.0-37-generic #64-Ubuntu) and installed krita (btw the installation from here fails with missing essentials) to try out the speed on linux cause all are saying it is faster than win7. For me it seems so: On linux it is faster with 8bit layers On Win7 it is faster with 32bit layers The fastest layers of both seems quite comparable for me. Here are my specs: model name : Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz stepping : 7 microcode : 0x705 cpu MHz : 2333.113 cache size : 2048 KB physical id : 0 siblings : 4 core id : 0 cpu cores : 4 apicid : 0 initial apicid : 0 fpu : yes fpu_exception : yes cpuid level : 10 wp : yes flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 clflush dts acpi mmx fxsr sse sse2 ss ht tm pbe syscall nx lm constant_tsc arch_perfmon pebs bts rep_good nopl aperfmperf pni dtes64 monitor ds_cpl est tm2 ssse3 cx16 xtpr pdcm sse4_1 lahf_lm dtherm bogomips : 4666.22 clflush size : 64 cache_alignment : 64 address sizes : 36 bits physical, 48 bits virtual Gesamt Belegt Frei Gemeinsam Puffer Cache Speicher: 3952 2823 1129 30 95 1381 -/+ Puffer/Cache: 1346 2605 Auslagerungsdatei: 4092 0 4092 GeForxe GTX660 2Gbyte version |
