Hi there! Krita is my primary painting software. I would love to really start using Krita 2.9 but there are several issues.
Im running 64 bit Windows 8.1, I have an AMD A6-5200 and 4GB Ram. I'm using a Lenovo g505 Laptop. For starters, I usually use 2.8.3, it generally takes around 50 seconds to start. 2.9 takes significantly longer. I'm not actually noticing any significant brush lag other than what my computer would normally have with any program. Most of the issues are with the interface. It can take a few seconds to create and delete layers (sometimes its instant). The Advanced Color Selector is very laggy (Trying to drag the picker around inside it is very very laggy though I have no problems with the pop up pallet selector. I prefer the Advanced because of its size and features. Selecting tools on the toolbar can be quite slow, though this is something I did experience in 2.8.3. Some lag when selecting brushes. Dynamic zoom is laggier and choppier than in 2.8. This performance doesnt feel normal. I feel as though it is probably a problem with my system but I figured I would make a post here about it. Thank you for your time and I hope this can be useful to someone! |
