Hello,
Trying to get Krita to accept the pressure sensitivity on a few of my Dell Venue Pro's (8 pro, and 11 pro) which use a Synaptics digitizer of some sort for pen input. Any idea why it won't accept pressure input? Seems a problem a lot of free open source programs have issues with this pen input. Commercial software like Sketchbook and Freshpaint, etc. works a-ok but Krita (my fave program so far) is a no-go. I can't seem to figure out if it's a UC-Logic, genius, or other type of input as mentioned in the FAQ. The pen uses a generic microsoft driver, "HID-Compliant pen" if that helps. Thanks! |

Sounds like it uses MS' e-ink api, not wintab, which is what we use. Unfortunately, without access to the real hardware, there isn't much we can do (and even with ahrdware, we need time...) You could try to check whether there are wintab drivers, and if there are, check the tablet log.

Was there any resolution on this? I just ran into the same issue.
Thanks! |

If it's the same device, no. You can try to use the 3.0 pre-alpha to see if it makes any difference, but we still rely on wintab and cannot use drivers using windows e-ink. |

So I found an odd solution elsewhere. I installed the windows tab drivers for the surface pro 4 on my non surface device. And now pressure sensitivity is being recognized! I the button clicks on my active pen are no longer being detected but one problem at a time. Anyways if you are using the Dell or HP active synaptics stylus this worked for me. I googled for the surface pro 4 pen driver. If anyone's got a clue on how I get my right click working again I would greatly appreciate it!
