Hi,

i'm trying to figure out why Krita is behaving this way on Windows 10. I use Gentoo Linux most of the time and Krita works great with that but when I installed Krita on my Windows 10 partition, I found an issue that made Krita unusable. Whenever a stroke is made (either with a mouse or a tablet), the image window doesn't update. I can get it to update by clicking close in the top right hand corner. When the "Do you want to save" window pops up, the image window has updated. Obviously, this problem makes it impossible to use krita. I don't know if Krita worked on Windows 7 before the upgrade. I have the latest version of Krita x64 (2.9.7) and the latest graphics drivers for my card. I haven't done anything that would push the graphics card very much since the upgrade to Windows 10. I will try to run something to see if it works well. I will edit this thread after I try to play a game using this system.

It does sound like a graphics driver problem, though. Please try disabling opengl. If that makes the canvas work, we can be sure it's an opengl driver problem.

Well,

It looks like it's an OpenGL driver problem as disabling OpenGL fixed the problem. Unfortunately my graphics drivers are up to date so it doesn't look like I can do anything to get that working. Although it seems that even with OpenGL disabled, it works just fine so it's probably not a problem.

Would be cool to know, what graphics card you use. :)

I have a similar problem, but on Linux. And it happens pretty random. I work most of the time with 2 tiled subwindows and the only way to fix it for me is to use the scrollbars that appears in krita when multiple windows overflow the canvas of krita.
Happens to me mostly when using big airbrush brushes.
Sadly I can't reproduce it at any time.

Thanks! I believe I read somewhere on the forums, that Radeon Cards cause more issues with Krita than Nvidia but less than Intel...I could be mistaken though...
