Krita is still 2.9.9, not 2.9.10, after installing both the msi and zip even after removing the old install... so the latest release has not changed after using the download link. Am I right? Do you experience the sam as me?

What might be going on is that the version string wasn't updated.

Just check settings->configure Krita->performance and see if 'turn off vector optimisations' is there, then it's 2.9.10

Yes... I made the packages before Cyrille upped the version number. A matter of misaligned personal schedules, I have to make the builds these days after I get home from the current consulting gig, which can be late.
