Hi
In last CR, can't see image of pictures when using File/ Open or File/Save as; it is a bit confusing when you have lots of images in the folder and you don't remember the name, at least when you try to Open. In all precedent releases it was possible to see thumbnails of the pictures. Thanks, in advance, for any reply on this matter. |

We had to revert to the qt dialogue for saving and loading, because the multitude of bugs was driving the guy who was dealing with it insane, this is why the thumbnails don't show.
The relevant commit File open dialogues are really complicated bits of code. |

Once again, thanks, Thera
I do understand the reason for changing, but after all it is a backward step on the ease, for the user of Krita. Hope a better solution will come up. |

Well, if it's worth anything, the reference docker can see the thumbnails of kra files, and we have a windows shell extension that allows showing the thumbnails inside the windows explorer.
I don't know when we'll go back to platform specific, there's too many other bugs we need to deal with first. |

In addition, the new dialog is a lot slower to open (6 seconds on my desktop PC, as compared to a fraction of a second previously), it's similarly sluggish when moving in and out of the top level directory, and we lose functionality like Quick Access and other navigation and preview features. Quite a back-step indeed... so that's a +1 from me for restoring the native dialog, if it can be done in such a way that dev sanity is preserved.

Probably not... The amount of time I've already spent on trying to fix the various bugs with the platform integration is absurd. It comes to several full-time weeks of work!

I'll be faithful to the first RC release; I don't have problems with any "bugs", maybe because I just use Krita to paint!... |

Another problem is that it removes access to network locations. Is it possible at least to speed up the qt dialogue and add capability to it?
