Not really sure how else to describe it. On even middling resolutions like 2000x2000 (but exacerbated on larger ones) a distinct delay occurs that causes the brush cursor to "snap" from one location to another location after a half-second or so upon finishing a brush stroke. The cursor stalls wherever the stroke was finished for a small period of time and then "snaps" to wherever your cursor might be afterwards. Not really a huge deal except it can kind of throw me off when making small adjustments. Sorry if this problem has been brought up before. I think it's just a distracting visual hiccup-I don't believe the brush itself is thrown off course at all, it just seems to be a delay in where the brush cursor is displayed.
Thanks for any help or advice. I don't recall this being a problem with the 3.0 beta which is a bit confusing to me. Windows 8 Intel Core i7-4810MQ (2.80ghz) Nvidia GeForce GTX 870m 12 GB RAM edit: I looked through some of the threads on "brush lag" (like I should have done from the beginning). It doesn't appear to be a stabilizer active on my end. All brushes I've tried are set to basic smoothing. I should have figured this thread was redundant though, and now I wish I was able to delete it. That said, congratulations on another successful Kickstarter. I'm happy to see this project growing so rapidly and hoping you're able to take the animation component even farther someday. |

Feeling this too--but only with a specific custom brush so I'm not sure why it's happening :'0 The cursor is definitely moving though so maybe they're actually different issues....

I had the same problem and posted in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=139&t=133207
One of the devs answered and, at least for me, it turned out to be related to the instant preview found in the view menu. |
