Transparent area appears black in exported images. (png, jpg) And the color becomes a bit darker as well. I realized this when I tried to edit some photo images in krita. Is this a bug or am I missing something? System : Windows 7 (x64) Krita 3.1 candidate (x64) |

No, this isn't a bug, and yes, you're missing something. A jpg image cannot have a transparent area. A png can. Next time you save as PNG, check the "Store alpha channel (transparency)" checkbox in the export options. See https://docs.krita.org/Saving_for_the_Web
If the "colors become a bit darker" you must make sure you're working in sRGB, and are not saving the sRGB profile with the PNG image. Make also sure that your monitor is set to sRGB and that Krita's monitor profile is set to sRGB. Check this chapter of the manual for more information: https://docs.krita.org/Category:Color |
