Hello,

First of all, Krita is truly a great program, I do really love it and would like to congratulate you, devs on your job! There is, however a small - so do I hope - issue i haven't managed to cope with when using Krita on Windows 10. Whichever action I do on the board, be it painting, adding a gradient or undoing something, it won't be rendered until I press some of the menu buttons. Firstly I thought it was issue related to my tablet (SlimTablet 600u Premium II) but switching it off and restarting Krita did not change anything - using mouse or laptop's touchpad works the same. Then, I thought, the app is so resource-intensive that it just lags so horrendously or my laptop is so old already. Installed 2.9.7 and 3.1 on Linux Mint Mate just to check - it works perfectly there.

Looks like I do have some issues only on Windows, but I am not sure how to approach it. Should I post some logs or refer to some tutorial? The problem is not like described here, i.e. like there's a lag during painting, but it's like rendering of the art window runs only after I interact with some other element of the interface,

I have tried turning on/off the software rendering and instant preview (not sure if I had translated those names properly from Polish :) )

My regards, have a nice, warm and calm Christmas!

Sounds like the display drivers are broken; this has been reported before. Some intel-based laptops have really broken Intel display drivers... Disable OpenGL or use Linux instead is all I can advice you right now. We haven't got the broken hardware available so we cannot try to figure out a work-around.

...Written in haste, before starting to prepare the Christmas dinner :-)

Merry Christmas to you, Greg!

Thank you! Somehow I haven't found the OpenGL ticker the previous time I sought for something to be turned off in the settings. Ticked it off and Krita works completely fine! Thank you a great bunch! And yes, I do use laptop with Pentium B960 which has integrated Intel GMA 2000.

The tablet I had mentioned above, Aiptek SlimTablet 600u Premium II or - it has different names and branding on different markets - Pentagram Thintype 2006P works very well, just in case you wanted to know.

Time to do some multi-brush magic now : )

Again, my regards
Greg
