Things tried:
- Reboot & retry
- Check drivers udpates --> all 100% ok
- Try starting the app with compatiblity settings
- Try disabling OpenGL in Krita
- Try starting the app with elevated rights
- Try removing & reinstall the app through the store

Same issue, no different behavior, the app still crashing when you try to hit File > Open of File > Save

---> Tried on another machine with same Win10 freshy installed --> Same issue

Any clue?

Thanks in advance!

Um... That's a weird one, since the crash happens in the Windows kernel. The only thing I can find that look similar suggests to run this scan:

Press Windows key + X and click on Command Prompt (Admin) to open the Elevated Command Prompt. (If prompted for a password, type the password and click Allow)
Type “sfc /scannow” and hit Enter.
Exit Command Prompt.

Oh -- have you also tried the krita.org download? The zip file version should be easiest to test.

Both computer I've tried were freshly installed, the system is fully working (I'm a IT engineer and I create & distribute Windows build for my company)... and I can reproduce the same issue accross several devices with the same configuration.

I think it's a user rights issue caused by store apps, due to security constraints I can't give a full access to the system to store apps, so I'll give a try with the Zip package and revert back here with results

Thanks Boudewijn ^-^
