Yesterday I was trying to modify a photo and noticed that when I right click the file and choose "Open with", Krita does not appear in the menu... I'm not sure if it's related to the fact that I installed Krita from the Windows Store, however I also installed Paint .NET and it appeared in the menu. Other programs like GIMP (not installed from the Store) appears as well in the right click > open with menu.

Thanks,
Jose
P.S. Although you noticed I'm very curious to install many CG programs (GIMP, Paint .NET, etc.) Krita has become one of my favorites due to G'MIC integration, and it's great tools for painting! :)

Hm... It should. I'll have to check when I'm back on a windows machine tomorrow, but the microsoft people who helped me told me they had got that working...

Probably hasn't registered for "normal" image formats like jpg/png/gif etc. The desktop installer doesn't register them either, only kra and ora are registered.

I can't even find where those registrations are done: did you already put the krita installer sources in the krita git repo, or are those still the old ones done by Stuart?
