@kritadevs
I am on Win7 Ultimate SP1 and have downloaded the krita-x64-4.0.0.51.zip from https://krita.org/en/item/krita-4-0-beta-1/. Upon starting it I see no python plugin manager in the krita settings. Is this supposed to be enabled by default with the windows builds or am I missing something... Looked at the wiki but didn't find anything related to it not showing in the krita settings. It appears the python is packaged with it... I recall one of the devs gave me a link to some sort of microsoft update that was supposed to/might help(on IRC IIRC), but I am on a different machine and lost track of the link. |

Yes, that was broken in the beta. Use the nightly build: https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Krita_Nightly_Build/

Ok, so In addition to copying vcruntime140.dll from python/ to bin/, you will also need to install the universal C runtime. It is a system component on Windows 10, but needs to be installed separately on earlier versions of Windows. (If you have some recent software then it might already be installed.)

@alvinwong Ok, I installed the Windows 10 Universal C Runtime from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... x?id=48234 and the Python plugin manager is working now with the snapshot. It seems a restart is required after enabling the plugins listed there. This should be noted in the wiki page as far as troubleshooting and/or maybe code a check into the app that checks for it. Thanks.

It appears that copying the vcruntime140.dll from python/ to bin/ is not required. I deleted it just to check if it still would work. It appears the only requirement I was missing was the Windows 10 Universal C Runtime to get the python plugin manager running in the snapshot. |
