I don't really know what else to say, when capturing Krita on OBS version 21.0 the video is just a static picture of the program like it is at the star, no canvas, no overview or tool options. I am able to use the program as normal but in the recording it just shows that blank window.

I have closed and opened the program several times but it doesn't seem to affect the result when i try to record anything.
Personally i don't think it's a problem with OBS, i have recorded several drawing and photo editing programs with no problem so it might be worth a try to see if it can be fixed, because Krita has quickly turned into one of my favorite free drawing programs and it would be pretty great to record something on it.

No, it definitely is not an issue with Krita, It's OBS itself which does the capture after all. Krita or Qt could be doing something that OBS doesn't handle correctly, but it would still be an issue on OBS's end.

Anyway, try switching to a different input source. Display Capture, Game Capture or Window Capture, at least one of these should work to some extent.
