Hi guys,
I've been doing some searching and haven't seen any posts on this, but has anyone noticed a substantial performance hit when zooming and rotating the viewport in Krita 4.0 compared to the previous releases? Panning around is still smooth as butter but zooming and rotating are super chuggy. https://gfycat.com/TepidMadeupHornedtoad Here's a capture of a 4 inch x 4 inch canvas at 300 dpi. You're not seeing bad framerate in the capture, that's how choppy zooming and rotating is right now on my machine. Notice how smooth panning is, though. Previous releases didn't seem to have any trouble with a canvas this size. Is there anything I can do to improve performance on this? I rotate and zoom a LOT while drawing, and this is making the process a lot less enjoyable. Thanks! |

Check the display settings and see whether canvas acceleration is enabled.

Ah! Bless you, glorious sir! It's as smooth and silky as ever now. That did the trick. Thank you so much!

Thank you! Helped me too. I like zooming out sometimes while painting and it was a pain, now I disabled canvas acceleration and it works fine!
