Hi!
I just made 3 brushes in Krita. Saved the brushtips as png using Gimp, and loaded it in the brush engine in Krita. On one of my brushes I have a very irritating box around the brush when I draw with it. It seems to have to do with the brush-tip I have selected for that brush. If I choose another brush tip there is no box. But I can't understand why it is like that. I exported them as PNG from Gimp with the same settings as far as I know. At first I thought it was because I activated "Flow - Scatter" on the brush but I tested and it's not that. How do I get rid of the box!? |

Please show a screenshot of the problem and make one of the brushes available for download. Your description doesn't sound like any known problem.

hi!
Where is the irritating box drawn? in the outline of the brush or in the paint placed when painting? If it is in the outline it could be that the background of the brush tip you made is not completely transparent. The outline is drawn for not fully transparent pixels in the brush tip. so if your tip has some pixels not fully transparent the borders of the brushbox will be drawn as part of the outline.

Yes, maybe there is something I missed when I fixed the transparency. Thanks for the tip!
It's getting late here in Sweden so I'll have to check it tomorrow. I'll try and paste a link here with a screenshot so you can see how it looks at least. The box is acctually visible while I'm drawing! https://i.imgur.com/G4YTBkI.png |

Yep, that is the outline box!!
You probably have a faint tone in the background that is picked up by the outliner. We can see it if we modify the brithness levels of the image you posted. As shown in the image the brush tip is also painting a very subtle tone the form of a square! So it seems you need to adjust the brush tip and reimport it to krita. https://imgur.com/KhPwiyB :]

Yep that did it! I use a laptop with a pretty **** display so I didn't see that there still was a slight tint on the background. It wasn't completely transparent.
After fixing it and importing the brush tip image again it worked great. Thanks for the help! |
