ever since i updated to 4.1.1 ive been getting a weird problem:
after a while of usage, i start getting the error "Could not save [my save path]. Reason: " problem: the "reason" is always left empty, so im at a bit of a loss here lol this happens both during autosave and normal save, but when i save the drawing to a different file name everythings fine again for a few hours. so right now i just have two files for a drawing that i constantly switch between while working. Idk if this has anything to do with it but im saving to google drive on my pc, which does cause problems with file locking when i use photoshop, but its never caused any problems with krita before, so idk

Yes, 4.x has an issue with saving to a folder that wants to sync to a drive. This is because we changed the way how saving works so it should be more performant and robust, but unfortunately it doesn't play nice with syncing. We've been attempting to find a solution to this.
And yes, the 'reason:' thing is not useful |

Ah okay, i was fearing as much but at least i now know i can simply circumvent the issue by saving somewhere else temporarily, so thanks ^^ |

I have the same problem. You can get around the save issue by temporarily pausing syncing, for example if saving to dropbox.

I fixed the empty reason thing, and I also did a workaround for Windows, which will be in the next release, 4.1.2
