Krita seems to have no problems with fonts under Windows 10 1809. In MuseScore 3, which now uses Qt 5.12.2 in the current developer version, some fonts are not listed at all and some fonts are not displayed (boxes only). As I said, Krita doesn't have a problem with these fonts, nor does it have a problem whether the font is installed for one user or for all (new in Windows 10 1809). Which Qt version is used in the current Krita 4.1.7 and which font engine is implemented?

4.1.7 uses Qt 5.9, the currrent nightly builds use 5.12.3. We have a ton of patches for Qt 5.12. on Windows because it's so broken, but not one for font rendering.

The font engine used by Qt on Windows is always DirectWrite by default and we don't change that. There is an option to use FreeType but it always makes the UI look weird on Windows.

Btw I believe our nightly is still on Qt 5.12.2. with some patches cherry-picked from Qt 5.12.3.

If you want to compare, see the nightly builds for yourself: https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Krit ... ows_Build/
