It's quite minor, but I wish to report a small bug/peculiarity on Krita 4.2.8 and Windows 10. I hope it's a good place to post it! You can't open nor display .jfif files (apparently a .jpeg-like file) when using the "File/open" menu. It's really not that important because you can open them by dragging and dropping them directly in krita.
Steps to reproduce : 1- Go to file/open 2- Go to a folder where there are .jfif files (you can change the extension of .jpeg files to .jfif. Or "save image as" on Mozilla firefox on Duckduckgo/google images, for instance) 3- check that choosable type is "All supported formats" or "jpeg image". 3- .jfif files in the folder are not displayed. Here's a quick picture to help... picturing what I mean : https://i.postimg.cc/kM0FsS4n/Krita-minibug.jpg |

I've just added support for that extension. I haven't tested it, though, since I don't have any jfif files. What are they used for?

I don't really know why this extension has appeared when .jpg are already there and the formats seem "swappable" at will. I just know that using the right-click + "save image as" in Firefox on google/duckduckgo image previews (not going on the site) now gives this extension, as well as on some other minor websites.
That sounds really silly, but may-bee they just want to distinguish processed pictures and real files? I don't have another hypothesis, sorry! |
