I was wondering if it is possible to develop krita scripts with PyCharm on Windows with krita installed from app store.
Can you help me with a setup? For now I am having the issue that PyCharm cannot resolve krita imports. |

Hm... That's going to be kind of tricky, I'd guess. Maybe you would be able to add Krita's python packages dir to the pythonpath for PyCharm. Where that is, depends a bit, because Windows Store puts Krita in a pretty weird place. It might be easier to start with the portable zip file from krita.org, that's a bit more introspectable.
I'm pretty sure that nobody has yet succceeded in doing so; I've seen questions about integration with Python editors/ide's a couple of times, but no solutions. As the person who developed the Python scripting plugin, I have to admit I have no idea how to do this either: I used to be really good at Python, but that was in 2000... |
