Really nice clean designs :)
Love the new multi-brush and magic-selection icons especially

One potential problem though, is that the draw and poly-line tools might start to look very similar when they were shrunk down?
They also add a "brush" motif, which isn't present in the other drawing commands (like "draw circle", "draw rectangle") - so as cool as it looks, I think it might be clearer to have a familiar squiggle for free-hand and jointed-line for these (reduces visual complexity too) as this represents the effect they have on the canvas? This would also help make the pen-motif for the calligraphy tool stand out, which is useful as it's a different type of tool (vector).

It looked like there was a minor error on the light-theme where the border of the polygon selection was light rather than dark.

Glad youl like it , im doing my best so your feed back is truly appreciated :)

Hmm , well maybe who knows haha ok first of all whats the smallest size of those icons so i can do a test and see if thats the case
now about the motif youre right, they are rendered with very similar lines so i guess your idea would be an alternative but we gonna have to see what the other people think about it specially the ones who code that because i dont know a thing about programming to change the icons and those things :P
Im just helping by giving ideas for a more polished and professional looking krita for the masses ^-^
(although i would love to see my icons going official so i will do my best for you guys) ;)

Yes indeed as i said before, im still working on these so when i posted the images i didnt noticed that haha but its already fixed ;)

I must say that i like it very much :) the only thing i would change(apart from the K) is the gradient icon i would make it a little higher more square-ish ;D
//Edit
The current toolbar icon size is 16x16(if i'm not mistaken) but would it really be a problem if they were for example 22x22? There is a lot of free space in that toolbar if you are not changing it to one row.

Thanks ! and yep those changes are already done ;)

Actually that would be great, beause to be honest at 16x16 im kinda struggling to keep the consistency of the icons and because of that im doing lots of tweaks, i'll post an update soon :)

legnaVl, I think that is spectacular work!

We can only produce the artwork, it's up to the devs to use it. This is one of the best products of this group so far, in my opinion.

Great work! :-)

Hey thanks alake ^-^

Now i hope the devs approve those icons or at least take an idea to polish the default ones, because if so i would love to help you out with the rest of the icons....the tool box is not the only who needs a redesign :-\

Don't worry, the icons will be accepted. We just need to make some changes to make it possible to change the icons based on the theme. If nobody does that is the next month, I will do that myself.

The only thing I noticed the the icons is that brush and line tool have very similar icons. Maybe they could be more different e.g. if the line looks more like the line does currently.

Anything else you need or change i will gladly work on it (visually of course i dont know a thing about the code :( )

Really? well if icon size was a little bit bigger like 22x22 the detail could be more clear but anyways youre the dev and as you can see the brush has a circular line meaning that the strokes are, well .. free to do without limitations and the line brush has a more squarish circle meaning that you will do straight lines, anyways i already have a different idea for it, so i will work on it ^-^

Hey legnaVI, nice icons! I have a few things to say about them I hope you don't mind.

I made an image to simplify my biggest annotations. detailed explanation below.
Image

-The cursor icon works of but I feel the cartoony style is a bit off krita target audience.
-Text tool works best with letter T.
-I have no idea what the 4 square icon does. The first thing in my mind is dropbox actions
-Pen tool. I have no idea what this tool does as path line tool is below polyline. Perhaps this is the node editing tool, in which case is less clear than the current icon.
-Color blobs. I have no idea what this does.
-Brush with circle line: I get the impression this is the Dynamic brush tool
-Brush with overlapped hexagon. Not so very clear as it looks very similar to previous tool. Line tool is, to be honest, a ruler, so probably a ruler icon wouldn't be so off.
-Most shape and line tool icons are the same representation so they work ok for me. the style you are using does not affect them, I think it makes them more clear.
-Multibrush. I like the icon, looks very unique, but I do know what the brush does, new comers might press it and believe it's only intended to make circular stuff. I made a super quick "multi brush" icon made of, well, lots of brushes. Not the best idea of course.
-Measure. the icon could be mistake for a circle maker tool. But I guess its ok.
-Gradient tool does not stand out against the bg. this could be a problem.
-Assistant tool icon. Fast and easy to get because the shape is distinctive and the skeumorphic shape has a lot of relation with what the tool does.
-Perspective vs grid. the silhouette looks distinctive but on first glance is not clear what is different with each other. I don't think this is a problem as a quick click would show.
-Selection tool icons look great!.

IMHO I think grid tool should be dropped for now as it's useless as a tool. and Perspective tool, while different from the assistant, could be also dropped in favor of the assistant perspective. I remember trying to get the "perspective" sensor to work with the perspective tool grid only to find out if only works with the assistant perspective variant.

It could be nice to have icons for Ellipse assistant, path assistant, perspective assistant and warp transform just in case the tool box is beefed up for 2.9. For example, to have the option to show warp as a tool icon, or being able to set a keyboard shortcut/tool icon to perspective/path/ellipse assistants, just like gimp has.

Nice work! Im sure we will see most of them in a future version of Krita :D

I dunno I am in love with the colored ball icon. So wonderful in the way they break the theme! (seriously the illustrator in me fell in love with it at first sight)

Hey thanks for the feed back ghevan :)

Now lets see...
Abot the arrow, i agree it looks kind of childish
For the pattern actually i told to my self, that icon looks familiar but because im not a dropbox user it didnt pass through my head but yes they look so familiar indeed xD so i will change it.
Have you ever used a calligraphic pen ? if so, you will see it acts as a real one, ( although its possible to create a preset acting as one without having that icon and of course change the action like u said, as the node editor for vectors ^-^
The colorize well, to be honest its not soclear also to me until you read the tool tip, anyways i think that icon should be dropped and have that option on the tool panel when using the gradient tool ???
I already modified those brushes, and as you said i think some icons must be dropped, for example the straight line brush, why not just leave a default brush icon and just hit a key for example shift or ctrl to do straight lines ?? it will also ease the clutter
Now about the multi brush, i know its not very clear because also at 16x16 is kind of hard to identify what the icon is, but sure actually i like your idea so will change it :)
About the gradient perhaps highlighting the colors a bit will make it it stand out more from the bg ;)
The grids ,I know, like they are totally different tools hehe but as i said before 16x16 size is not easy to work with :( also i thinkg both grid and perspective tool must be droped and just have that option on the top menu or unify those two on one icon and on the tool panel have the options to modify the grid lines

The same goes for the polygonal and free select, unify those too and if you wanna select by straight lines, just keep pressed shift or ctrol but again thats just me hehe i think it woul be more practical

I will post and update later this day adressing other icon issues plus the modified icons with and other ideas because right now im on school :'(

Personally, I love them all, although the thick, tapered stem on the top arrow icon does give a less precise, cartoony feel. Other than that, top notch!
