Does anyone know at what size are the icons in the System Settings?.

Never mind found them.

System Settings itself should follow the sizes as set in the Icons control module.

It doesn't for me, and since I've never touched that setting (which I didn't remember that it was there until you mentioned it) the default seems to be 32px.

I would consider that a bug - you might need to restart System Settings for it to come into effect, but it should be applied none the less.
The bug is likely in KFileItemDelegate if it does not work properly.

Just a heads-up, I'll be doing some icons for Nitrux so until I'm done with them I won't be adding new icons for the Plasma Next theme.

Chiming in in the part of the janitor..
I think it would be very good if at least a preliminary version of the breeze theme gets pushed in the breeze repo in KDE: this way we would have still some weeks to test it, adjust all the defaults etc, to make sure will be ready to release at end of june

Well you can already preview it/use it, but anyways, where do I push it/put it?

I was thinking about the "breeze" repository in the kde infra, so all is in the same place

I'm guessing it's not this one?: http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/KDE/kdeartwork/

Is it this one?: https://projects.kde.org/projects/kde/workspace/breeze

you register here:
https://identity.kde.org/

then when you have the account, ask for developer rights: https://identity.kde.org/index.php?r=de ... pplication

complete explanation here:

I see no advantage in replacing an icon which works great for that function even today (there is even empirical evidence for that: http://user-prompt.com/about-antiquated ... -in-icons/ ) with one that has to be learned anew, just because the former is resembling something "outdated". I am convinced you could create an icon which resembles the established "floppy disk" icon but looks modern and fits the rest of the theme, don't you think?

Sorry for resuming this old topic but yeah, I really don't like the current save icon (and if the default wasn't icon and text i would have no idea what is doing)
the floppy is no more a floppy, it's a "save" icon that now work even *better* now for young people that have no idea what a floppy is.
i agree with the arguments of Nuno and of the poll.
For usability reasons, I think in the end the icon will have to be turned back into a floppy, at least for the default theme.

The icon that Thomas was questioning is different than the current one.

As for the actual current icon, it's a folder with an arrow pointing down. What do you do when you're done using stuff, you put it down, what do you do when you're done with a document, you put it down, in the context of computers, where do documents go?, in a folder, now, in your the software where this icon will be used you're working with a document and it goes into a folder, the icon just means put it down into a folder. Not that hard to figure out.

Now as I said too to Thomas before, the floppy is still being used because no one bothered to change it, no one bothered to change it because it's still in use and to end it with a quote, what did Einstein said about doing things over and over again?.
