But I like that it spelled "Aki" plus it's in the KDE forums so a wink that way - but tbh the name isn't important, we can skip the K if you feel so strongly against it
Hey so, checking the Font Awesome page I notice they have hunreds of MORE icons in their font, so is there anyone that feels like they would like to start converting Font to SVG? That would be awesome!

Jens, what do you say? |

@Jens
Someone has already done the work converting to SVG: https://github.com/CodeCharmLtd/Font-Awesome-SVG-PNG which I think is a complete set. We should most definitely use these as they are MIT licensed. I am a bit worried about us pulling in icons from all over the place as it might become a headache when it comes to naming sources and licensing. So I think we should first of all assign all the current font awesome icons to their oxygen counterparts, then see what we can do with combining them, and as a last resort start pulling in icons from other places. |

I'm not strongly against it I just feel it could be better. That it is not designed well or thought out from a branding prospective. Aki is a nice sounding theme name better than FACT but it should not stand for anything.

Good points david! Also, great find but I don't think that's all the icons - Awesome Font is up to 700 icons now and many are being added so we might benefit more from their work. I thought - perhaps if I emailed the guy in charge of it? See if we can cut out all this digging and perhaps get some direct help and input? Worth asking
Kdeuserk: About the folder - its a nice thought I just think it run the risk at being too cluttered considering a majority of the icons will be used in very very small sizes (in apps mostly) so that extra line might cause some headache. Also I will be less here in the coming days (due to the nasty thing that happened here in Sweden, two of the victims being friends) - I wont disappear, don't worry I will come in every day etc - I just need to do a lot of stuff here AFK so... But don't be shy - this is a "for all" event - so talk amongst yourselves and add stuff in the google spreadsheet, we're here together after all (and tbh considering the awesome work so many of you have done so far - I would be a fool not to trust you guys completely ) Remember, be respectful, creative and fearless!

Oh Martin K (one of the devs) need new OSD icons - the icons that pop up when you use FN-buttons to change things like keyboard language and screen brightness.
He has some that where made really on in the VDG teams design work - but I thought as a nice thing to Martin we could create a FACT/AKI (hehe) version of these icons. - Bluetooth on - Bluetooth off - Wifi on - Wifi off - Keyboard language Changed - Keyboard Brightness lowered/raised (oh and a few more... darn it cant remember them) I thought of combining a Cloud Icon with a Bluetooth Icon for Bluetooth and maybe the same for Wifi

Jens: Thank you for the feedback. The thing is: Especially because of small sizes it is sensible to add the additional line.
The icon set used in that screenshot is Faenza/Faince. There especially the additional space adds some visual clarity. Other than that it appears to be a matter of taste. But you are the expert, so if you so no, I will accept that and thank you very much that you took the time to leave a comment on it. |

So, two more ideas for Akregator icon:
...both combined existing fa icons. In fact, the first one is a bit modified - I´d extended height of the screen a bit, so that the inner icon is better visible when rendering in small icon sizes. I´m in favor of the first one - the second one has become a bit illuminatic |

Using the RSS icon with a newspaper similar to what this iOS app does, is a nice metaphor IMHO: http://savysoda.com/News/
I currently don't have the time to create a FOSS-licensed mockup/design. |

Excuse me, but why add another icon to the classic and simple feed? It seems redundant

Good point! Convinced me, so changed it in the spreadsheet and noticed duplication. Anyway there´s a possibility to work on that again in a later phase, if the icon causes problems (e.g. in a browser application). |

That would be Screen brightness changed and volume changed
