Hello, I've been working on a design for this application: http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=164092
Designs with color variations: ![]() svg file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_Y_Mh2QV_eObmRibURJdDdDbFE/edit?usp=sharing This is the first real project I've done in inkscape, I'd like to get better so give me some criticism! |

What about something along these lines? ![]() |

I do like the simplicity here! |

Unless there is a real benefit of using the K in the icon, I would recommend not to use it (having it in the name is already..well...bit outdated). The symbol for sync is already widely known, and I think you should not try an approach far from it: https://www.google.nl/search?q=sync+icon
Remember, the icon does not have to be a logo (and vice versa) |

Took in some of the previous ideas and came up with this:
![]() It's a lot more flat than the previous versions. |

I'm sorry, but I see these efforts a bit unnecessary, although interesting, however, since you are working on a new set of icons complete, and this type of icon is definitely part of the new package

Hi, I'm the developer of this application. Can I use this: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1642456/KFolderSync2.svg? If so, I need your OpenDesktop username, your email and your full name (for the application credits dialog)

Hi everyone. In the latest version of my app I've improvised 3 temporary icons for the backup operations (if you don't have the app, you can find a screen shot in kde-apps), but they are not so good, so I'm asking if anyone would make 3 new good icons to replace those 3. They don't have to be similar to the existing ones, they should only represent somewhat the backup type they are associated to and be PNG 16x16

The problem with this icon is that it does not conform with the general icon style we're aiming for. Unfortunately though, that style has not been explicitly described anywhere yet. What you can do, of course, is use that icon until a new one conforming to the new style is created. So if it would be okay for you to change the again again in the near future, I'd say "go ahead, use that one!". If you want the icon to stay, however, it would make more sense to wait for a new icon which conforms with the new icon style. |

If there are style guidelines for KDE, I'll try to follow them whenever possible. But I'm not a designer, I'm a developer, so my "graphics creation skills" are limited and this is also why this forum page exists
![]() That means that I will continue to use the icons I have, but, if you designers provide me something better, I can do some replacements |

Hi,
I made the application icons for the new kde Awesome-Community-Theme. Please give me feedback. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1642456/kfoldersync/icon/01_sync.png https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1642456/kfoldersync/icon/02_bisync.png https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1642456/kfoldersync/icon/03_diff.png https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1642456/kfoldersync/icon/04_inc.png https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1642456/kfoldersync/icon/05_full.png And a Awesome KFolderSync Icon https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1642456/kfoldersync/app/KfolderSync.svg |

I didn't know that theme. But shouldn't they be only in black and white?

That's right, but I need the backup Information for the last two types. And so I used the red collor, maybe gray would be better. I don't know but hopefully I get nice input from the forum.
