I tried to make my own shortcut list, but it didn't work out so well. I learn them them best by typing them, and in parley I can only click through. In my opinion that would be more helpful for vocabulary too. To type the full word and hit enter. That way it would be easier to learn, for example, the various accents in french or spanish.

You can do that already, you have to change the practise mode to "Written". I think it's on "Flash Cards" by default.

Nice! A little hard to spot. I was fiddling with preferences, practice... When not practising languages (like the history mode, or test preparation mode), I shouldn't have to select a language anyways. I should be able to edit the fields (for example "command" and "explanation"). At some point I will make a vim shortcut lesson for parley ;)

Ok, the status right now is that we have almost everything implemented like it was suggested. We also have ported Parley (and a lot of other KDE Edu applications) to Qt5/KF5. I'm currently finishing up the color handling so that the user will be able to choose between the bright color scheme and the one-color progressive scheme. But it's time to take the next step.

I think that what we need to do next is to make the interaction a little better and also prepare it for mobile platforms. But what we really need to design now is the statistics. This was hinted at in the previous discussion, but we never got a full proposal. Sogatori: are you still interested in working on this? I am super happy with our results so far and I have had many positive comments from our users too.

Sure, just give a bit time to get to know everything again. I seem to have deleted my records .__.
