Hi there!
A friendly request from a Calligra guy. We all love all the changes that happen in visual identity, loog & feel areas of KDE these months. In Calligra there is one possible thing that can go in par with this _and_ is relatively easy: color series, this is an example from from LibreOffice: I would like to see something better than random colors, from the old 4 bit VGA era. Something that is based on the KDE-next/plasma next palette can be shared in any place where data series is needed, and each series is contrasting with sibling. Similarly if you like this topic, it could be extended to document themes, example from MS Office: (it's from here). Just think about the particular series and theme I am requesting as the "KDE" ones, and probably default one in KDE software. That can hopefully put near of the KDE HIG (or is it there already something like this?). The color series can be naturally dependent on document's theme (not supported in Calligra not in LibreOffice anyway), but it will finally come to life. Cheers! |

Interesting idea! One thing to remember is that one essential criteria for color sets like these is sufficient contrast between these colors when converted to grayscale (like when printing a chart in black and white ink).

@alake good point. It will need to be adressed especially if someone wants to implement a color sets generator based on some widely known algorithms.
