Yes. It should be possible. Think of the query parser as "text input" -> "machine query". That's it. The handling and processing of the query is then up to whoever wants to. Also, please not that this would involve a compile time dependency on Baloo. Not all projects might be okay with this. In Dolphin, it is still possible to compile it without Baloo.
