Hi
I have recently imported an application called KXStitch into KDE/Playground here http://projects.kde.org/projects/playgr ... s/kxstitch There is currently an application icon in the repository called hi32-app-kxstitch.png which was created some time ago, and whilst the overall design is fine it is nowhere near the quality of the current KDE artwork. Please could a designer create a new icon for me in a range of sizes along similar lines to the existing one. The existing icon may not be completely self explanatory but should represent a piece of aida cloth with a cross stitch, a needle and some threaded cotton. If any further info is required, reply here or contact me at steve.allewell@gmail.com Many thanks Steve |

I can include the icon for it in the new theme, however I will not include anything remotely similar to the original icon, also, please don't use hard-coded icons in the software.
If you can provide a clear and thorough description of what the software does that'd be nice. |

Thanks for your interest Uri.
The application allows a user to create a cross stitch chart using various colours of cottons. Think of a mosaic of stitches. The user works on a grid of whatever size is required and selects a range of colours to use in a palette. These can then be painted onto the canvas to create an image. Alternatively a picture can be imported which is then converted to stitches, or used as a background and traced over. When finished the chart can be printed out with symbols representing the various colours. The stitcher can use that as a guide to create a stitched version of the pattern. There is a wiki page at http://userbase.kde.org/KXStitch if you want to take a look. Regarding your comment that you wouldn't do anything remotely similar, can I ask why that is? The current icon does kind of encapsulate what KXStitch is, but if you have other ideas, I would be interested in them. Regards Steve |

Because I couldn't tell exactly what was it until I figured out it was a needle over a piece of fabric. I'll add it to the theme now that you provided a nice description, you can check it on the icon's repository on github. |

Would that be NitruxSA/plasma-next-icons? I will keep an eye on it.
Thanks Uri |
