With this post I am looking for an Icon Designer who wants to improve the quality of the metaphors used in his icon set.
The metaphor of an icon determines how well an icon gets associated with the underlying function. I would like to systematically user-test this quality aspect of an icon set and together with the designer identify better metaphors for the icons that are not working that well. Short summary: - I take care of the user testing of any given icon set - The Designer, me & the community together try to find ideas for better metaphors for not so well working icons - The Designer creates icons that fit in the icons set and use these new metaphors, so the icons can be tested again... - Icon set needs to be licensed under a free license Any question?
