I like breeze color palette quite some.
One of the few things I miss is the lack of contrast for tooltips: they have same foreground and background as the standard colors (more or less) and thus do not stick out enough I think.
On the other hand I also like a lot the active window titlebar foreground and background.
My suggestion would be to use these (or similar) colors also for tooltips. It also makes some sort of sense consistency wise, since when a tooltip is visible, it is the active window on screen.

So this is a shot after your change? It would be nice if you provided us an before/after pic, since not everybody has breeze installed on their systems (or at least me).

I strongly agree that the tooltips should return to a dark color. It's been bugging me while using plasma 5 that they are light. Only other problem I have with the breeze theme is that the inactive title bar doesn't match window content.

why should it match? I think not matching in general can be feature compared to oxygen, because proprietary/nonnative applications wont integrate anyway and then it would be kind of an inconsistency that they do not match. (I know these applications look weird compared to the rest anyway, but at least the titlebar does not match consitently).

Even though I do not think the colors should match either, the argument above does not really stand.
Just like for oxygen, the plan is to have a matching breeze gtk theme, and consistency accross ~90/95% of the apps whatever the toolkit
Consistency between app and decoration was achieved with oxygen for virtually all the applications that I know of, and the same should happen for breeze.

Hm. The change sure looks nice initially, but I suspect there is a small chance that this will give the tooltips too much contrast, and be distracting in the long run...

However, I would very much like us to actually try it out. Perhaps it works perfectly.
