[Call for porposals] Save-as icon

Mon Sep 01, 2014 7:28 pm
My translation for http://speichern-unter.net/

A design and creative competition for a new save-as icon

How may a contemporary icon for the function "save-as" look like? Your ideas are in demand: Participate in a competition advertised by the Stuttgarter Zeitung (newspaper) and the Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart (promotion of economic development), design the visual successor of the floppy disc. From creative individuals and students, professional designers and usability experts, to agencies and companies - all may take part.

And participation is profitable: In both categories amateurs and professionals the advertisers donate in total three financial and material prizes.

Professionals – 1th place 3000 € | 2nd 2000 € | 3rd 1000 €
Amateurs – 1th Macbook Pro | 2nd iPad | 3rd iPhone (whoever wants that Apple stuff)

Upload one or two proposals for the new save-as icon until Sep/30 to this web site. Thereafter it's up to you, the user: Choose the best you like out of the applied ideas until Oct/30. The ten icons per category with the highest rating will be reviewed by experts.

The winner will be presented and awarded at the World Usability Day in Stuttgart on Nov/13.

(Please ask for more details if you're interested.)

I don't know, haven't registered there. Maybe someone else can help. But if you want to ask by email I could help with German.
