As for the OSD: Before adding an option for turning it off (or maybe in addition to that), can we please work on making it suck less for everyone? If we end up with something that everyone who isn't too lazy to do so will switch off, we have bad design, not the power of choice. If we end up with an OSD that is useful for some, but still annoying for others, an option to turn it off is best, but an option to turn something off should not bve implemented just to avoid having to improve something.
Well, for touch screens things are different: There, the layout switcher should be directly attached to the virtual keyboard, not sit in the system tray. Therefore, the two will have little in common. |

OSD no longer appears on passive changes.
(i.e will only appear from the keyboard shortcut) |

Great, thanks! Let's keep on trying to find out what people find annoying about the OSD. Then we can see whether it's something everyone would find annoying or just some users. |
