Folder colors are awesome! They can be used to make folders easier to separate from one another. Oxygen has ten colours out of which 6 are pleasantly eye catching (not counting aggressive red, black, default and grey as such), and it is easy to run out of those. Use case: user marks all courses with differently coloured folder so they stand out in Documents folder. Very handy and makes clicking on otherwise dreary course folders a bit more inviting! But oh no! User has 8 courses going on and one permamently grey folder in documents anyways for IRC log files, red is mentally reserved to mark do not touch areas and black for projects. User can't colour all the important course folders now.
Happy, pleasant and warm colours would be so nice to have more for that purpose. It'd be great to have just ten colours suitable for positive eye-catching and then those four non-positives. That would be mere increase of four colours but almost double the amount suitable for mental separation purposes. |

the places icons were updated yesterday. https://github.com/NitruxSA/plasma-next-icons
the onyl missing places icons are the coloured folders because the draft from yesterday need a revision, but they will come. |

We now have an extended color palette: https://techbase.kde.org/Projects/Usability/HIG/Color
The middle block in the "Full" box would give you twelve pleasant colors to choose from. |

They've been added thanks to andreas_k here. As he has already commented they're in the Nitrux GitHub repo.
Also, FYI Nitrux has various folder colors to choose from (not counting those that are extra) |

The new folders were added to the breeze project repo and should have made it in before the 5.1 tar builds.
Thanks again andreas_k! |

This is awesome! Really excellent! You know what? After F21 gets stable and I get to run Plasma5 on my computer, I think I'll take a look at Dolphin and figure out a way to add "Set folder colour..." in right-click context menu.
