I'm happy to announce that today I merged the new window decoration in breeze and kwin to master branch. So now the breeze decoration is the new default.

Does that mean it will be in 5.2?

As the current master is going to become 5.2 and it's too difficult to rip the code out of KWin: yes

FYI,
With help and advice from Martin I've spent the last couple of days to iron out the details on the breeze window decoration, add animations, configure options and implement the missing buttons. This is still work in progress (I'd like to have the possibility to add window specific settings), but what's in git master currently looks like this:

We can probably remove the QML breeze deco now that this is in place.

already done. Once I switched to kdecoration2 I deleted the QML deco.
