Hello, first thanks for this great work in the improvement of the visual and design of KDE Plasma and Applications, VDG team is awesome! =)

I am with Cantor developers team. Cantor provides a worksheet-based interface and offers assistant dialogs for commonly used functions in the scientific programming world to several "mathematical engines" - programming languages oriented to scientific, engineering, or mathematical applications. Currently, Cantor supports GNU Octave, Maxima, Sage, KAlgebra, Qalculate, Lua, R, Scilab, and Python 2.

Cantor was released in 2009 and never had an app icon! =)

Then we would like to solve it in time for Cantor KF5-based release, in Applications 15.04.

You can read more about Cantor in Alex Rieder's blog https://arieder.wordpress.com/ and in my blog http://blog.filipesaraiva.info/?tag=cantor (posts in English and Portuguese). Cantor release post is in https://arieder.wordpress.com/2009/10/2 ... ng-cantor/. Cantor website is https://edu.kde.org/cantor/.

To information, the Cantor name come from Georg Cantor, the author of set theory http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georg_Cantor.

Well, let's talk about it. I don't have any idea about which image would be interesting for the icon. =D

Thanks and best regards;

This blogpost is a "features tour" in Cantor. The mathematical engine utilized was Python 2 but it could be used another programming language supported by Cantor.

Thank you @andreas_k, and sorry for the delay. I am very busy this week preparing my moving to another continent.

I really liked your suggestion! The Cantor's diagram on the blackboard is great. But what do you think about change the Cantor's diagram to some mathematical operations? Maybe it can to say what Cantor software is.

My suggestion:

x = 3 + 5
y = x ** 2
x + y

Well, but it is just a suggestion, I don't know if it work.

Thanks again!

Thank you and happy holidays!

Hi Andreas, thank you again for your work. Finally we have a reply from Cantor maintainer and we would like to use your Cantor Breeze icon as Cantor default icon to Qt5/KF5 version! =)

So, is it possible? If yes, please could you to provide the PNG versions of 16px, 22px, 32px, 48px, 64px, 128px sizes and the SVGZ version?

We would like to put your name, mail contact and website portfolio/contact in Cantor too.

If you want to provide these information in private, you can send a mail in filipe at kde.org.

Thank you again and best regards!
