I can't find my original thread, so I'm making a new one.
Users send us bug reports on Bugzilla. Some of the questions are about the styles or are questions relating to visual design. We've made an effort to tag these bugs so that it's easier for VDG people to find. https://bugs.kde.org/buglist.cgi?bug_st ... sualDesign All I need is a simple comment "I disagree with original author" or a "yes, that makes sense" If we don't keep on top of this, all the design work will just fall to pieces. |

Thanks for the reminder David.
There are only 17 bugs as of this writing. I'll do as much as I can within my bandwidth constraints in the next few days to support this. For others here, please help preserve and improve the quality of the Plasma visual design! If you're not sure, post a topic here prefixed with "[Bug #####]" so we can discuss it and come up with the best feedback for the bug report. Thanks again David! |

Hi David,
thanks for assembling this list. The bug [Taskbar buttons for minimized apps should not use disabled state](https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=311991) could be added to your list. It comes from KDE4 but I think it is still and issue in Plasma 5. Can you tag this bug, too? Regards Gregor |

You're meant to be helping shorten my TODO list, not increase it! Moved and tagged. If you want to do it on any other bugs, change the product to plasmashell, you'll now see a combobox called "Visual Design" under "Flags" set this to +. |

You're welcome. Come in with one problem and go out with two.

I think we'll need to improve our workflow here. Having the VDG's bug response hinge on a single person's availability isn't a good situation, so we should spread the work over several shoulders.
Maybe we can set up "Bugzilla shifts" so that for each week one person is responsible for dealing with bugs marked "Visual Design". That person wouldn't have to make fundamental design decisions alone. If the person on Bugzilla shift thinks an issue needs discussion, they can always create a forum thread, post a link to that thread in a comment to the bug report and then report back ont he bug once we've reached a concluion in the forum. Does that make sense? |

EDIT: I think that makes sense, Colomar |

David,
I've attempted to triage any unconfirmed bug reports in the list. However, I agree with Thomas. As I mentioned in my comment, please feel free to help triage and participate in helping to find solutions to bug reports (and don't be shy about reporting bugs either). We are a community so we have to depend on each other to get this stuff done. When I can't do it, we'll have to depend on others in the community to help out. When others can't, I'll certainly be there to help out. Don't get too hung up on the right or wrong way to do this. Just ask questions, when you're uncertain. We don't bite (last I checked). |
