Something that Krita dev mentioned in his blog post that got me thinking. I am also not the biggest fan of these explicit demarcations.

Well to me it looks like Krita developer is using GNOME 3.x with mutter window decoration.

I don't see any lines in that screenshot but a blue line is drawn underlying window decoration in every app.

Hi Sudhir Khanger,

Thanks for the feedback. Concerning the "blending" of the decoration into the *menu* bar (rather than toolbar), first thing you want to do is to change the color settings so that indeed the same color is used for active window decoration background and main window background.

If you do that, then the breeze decoration should (at least it does here), automagically remove the extra blue outline,
and you end up with the effect you want (assuming that I understood you well).
