Please, sorry my English
Many people know panel have one size for icons and widgets. This variant with 32px icons size not save screen place, because people have different screen resolution, different icon themes, perception and etc. Right part panel It occupies half the space and some widgets hide on system tray. But I have an idea. Create a new widget , which will be contained various components (system tray , clock, weather , etc. ) . This widget will set size icons that the user prefers. For example, panel have 36px, left part panel (tasks) have 32px icons, right part panel - New widget with custom 16px area height Advantages: - save panel space (you will be add more apps on tasks ) - very good looking (system tray, clock and other plasma icons not good looking with bi size) - universal variant (any user customized size icons from your self) Programmers and Devs PLEASE create this widget. Regards! |

Maybe it is not exactly like your idea but I proposed an option to resize icons in task manager Bug 363878 - option to make icons bigger https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363878 Bug 363879 - option to make icons bigger https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363879 Vote for it if you wish. Hopefully Eike (developer) will introduce it.
What do you mean by that? What's in Plasma 5.7 that refers to this topic? |

@apache On Plasma 5.7 now have fixed icon size on tray - 22px.
Yes, it's better variant. But really need option "Add widget on tray". Because other widgets not good looking with new tray, for example digitalclock, workspace switcher, network usage and etc... |
