sorry if I did not have time to answer before, but yes, I meant the menu that you see in the video, I thought that with that menu and the other 2 plasmoids now dock panel and now, it would be nearly a user experience very transformation similar to that of Elementary |

You just need to use: https://dl.opendesktop.org/api/files/download/id/1473029935/plasma-transparent-panel.py.v0.2.2.tar.gz and click at: transparent.sh in order to produce a plasma theme that has the specific panel transparent... After you have chosen the new theme, you must disable from your Desktop Effects:

Papirus, breeze, air, default... all these have been tested and work correctly... steps to use the transparent panel script...
have your tried all the above? |

yes it does, transparency for the panel can be offered only through the plasma theme... You can try to use directly for troubleshooting the MX Theme which offers full transparency for the panels... If MX Theme does not provide you with full transparent panels then that means that you havent disabled the correct Desktops Effects... |

no worries!!! the shell script is normal procedure... For now, transparent panels in plasma are offered only through the plasma theme.. So the script creates such a theme in order to be used... In the future... probably after Plasma 5.9 (according to plasma developers) the script may not be needed... Transparent panels could be supported directly... have fun... regards, michail |

Beautiful !!! I have also created a forum at: https://github.com/psifidotos/nowdock-plasmoid/issues/29 for users wanting to present their use cases... For example a user asked by me to implement two things in next release of Now Dock, 1. The user by right clicking a task to be able to access its recent files 2. The user should be able to pin documents I thought of it and suddenly I realized that these are already present... 1. Now Dock can provide different launchers per activity 2. Right clicking a task, its recent files based on the activity are present 3. The user can add in Now Dock Panel the Folder plasmoid and make it show only the current activity's pinned documents... So there are fantastic possibilities out there that I didnt even have in my mind when I implemented it... Have fun!!! Thanks for the reply... |

in plasma-framework the breeze task manager style use lines. I don't know if you use them but you can have them as "design guide". |

I already use them but for active window only.... Now Dock Plasmoid behaves like this... It uses dots for the windows in order to separate them from launchers which do not have any specific indication. The dots can be white and blue (minimized - unminimized) and for the active window instead of a dot, a line is used... Recently I added also a nice animation fot the active/inactive change... So, the dot becomes line with animation and vice versa... |
