How old are the system sounds? I know this is the VISUAL Design Group, but I think nice system sounds contributes to the user experience. I've been testing out a bunch of DEs and distros lately and I noticed that Solus with Budgie had a nice notification sound for the network. It then dawned on me that the sounds used by plasma are extremely stale and, maybe because of that, not particularly pleasant to my ear.
