Wolthera, that new fisheye assistant is simply awesome... can't wait to play with it. :-)

...now, don't be mad ok?! ...but can I make one little request?
Can you make the Parallel Ruler, while we are creating it, be able to snap to some specific angles?
...sometimes when I have to do some isometric drawings I need that kind of thing.

You're awesome :-)

English is not my first language, sorry in advance!

Thanks.

Angle-Snapping is still on my todo, but I have to do my GSoC first :)

Hi Wolthera, I've been using vanishing point recently, i would suggest having the ability to colour code them.

My proposal is Something like layers (but not as complex as image layers)

Red layer = every VP drawn on this layer will be red
Blue layer = every VP drawn on this layer will be blue
Yellow layer = every VP drawn on this layer will be yellow

I'm talking about the lines ofcourse. When back in brush mode, they will appear at a lower opacity (like it is now)

red layer for example might be Object vanishing points, blue layer can be shadow vanishing points, yellow incline vanishing point for object, purple light vanishing point etc.
The layers will make it easier to turn off visibility of chosen group, without having to turn them all off one by one (though that should still be an option. User can add as many layers as they want, and choose any colour.

Quick mockup of how the simple UI might look. The name will go inbetween, but I couldn't be bothered to do that (the text tool in krita is uhm, saddening)

I really really really want to make assistants to be grouped in Layers, but the problem is that I do not have enough knowledge to do so. So that'll take a while :D

haha, thats fine, we all have our limitations. I didn't expect it soon anyway.

At least someone can be referred to my proposal if it ever comes up in the future.

I added single assistant snapping today, which tells Krita to avoid snapping to multiple assistants, which caused the snapping noise. This feature is on by default but can be turned off for chained assistants.

I also added rudimentary snapping to horizontal and vertical lines with the assistant tool, as well as having the third knot of each circular assistant snap to perfect circle.

improved angle snapping will be for a later date.
