Hey folks, I'm just preparing a UI tutorial and I noticed that the Tools docker doesn't actually appear in the Settings>Dockers list.
I also noticed that the Brush Presets docker is greyed out. What are the reasons for these? Thanks! |

The tools docker isn't in the list because we really, really don't want to make it possible to hide it. People still manage, though. Here, I cannot reproduce the brush presets docker being grayed out.

Totally makes sense. I have had students still loose it, somehow, inexplicably. Once it was just hidden really well, and the other time we never found it and had to go delete some user settings to get the default layout back.
Is there a reset-window-layout in the works like GIMP has? I'll screenshot the grayed out presets docker when I get home. |

The top toolbar's right-most button shows a menu with the default workspace layouts. Those can be used to restore the default. I've had one user, though, for whom that did not work, which is pretty weird.
You can use the same feature to define your own favourite workspaces. |

So, I can't take a screenshot when I have a menu in Krita open. Print Screen and Ctrl + Print Screen won't work! When I close the menu item, I can screenshot Krita no problem. So I can't prove the Brush Presets docker is disabled, lol.
About just says Version: 2.9.2 but doesn't have a build number or anything. On Linux Mint 17.1 Cinnamon. I had the docker locked... By the way, I just subscribed (RSS) to your blog. Thanks for the insightful posts! |
