Docking Area Sensitivity?

Thu May 07, 2015 8:47 pm
I really like the flexibility of being able to dock around the screen but it drives me nuts when I'm trying to position a docker, especially near the top or bottom of the screen, and I want it to float and not dock. All of a sudden the docking area expands and then I pull the docker back, maybe too far and....it starts all over again. I was wondering if you could make the sensitivity of the docking space user adjustable?

thanks

Sorry, no, that's not possible. The dock widget system is part of Qt and doesn't allow us to tweak things like that.

Boud, is it possible to add a setting to not dock top and bottom instead? I think that may be a workable solution, but not very essential, just as suggestion.

Yes, that's possible. It needs to be configurable, because there are quite a few people who actually put docks there, either for animation or for brushes.
