Wolthera did a great job with the new color space picker. The main thing I liked about the old one was that you could quickly scan and change the information on the new dialog when creating a new document.

This UI proposal would update the New dialog. The "Color Space Visualization" button would open up the color selector like it does currently on calligra/2.9. it is mostly just bringing back the old options, and re-arranging them a bit. Thoughts??

My logic is that as an advanced user, I would want to quickly see the information without having to think or make extra clicks. If I was interested in learning and seeing what different color profiles would accomplish, the visualization button would be there to help educate me on what the different color profiles do. Since this design is very similar to the existing color model picker, there would be little 'adjustment' that people would have to experience.

Side note: I am going to be out on vacation next week. Whatever is decided by everyone is ok with me.

I agree with Scott for bringing back the old drop-downs, it will make it easy for people who just want select a color profile and the color visualization button will be for the people ( like me :) ) who want to know more about the profiles. This helps in the case where user has already read about a particular profile once and from next document on-wards just wants to select it and get started, having the drop-down in first stage itself will be good.

I equally like both solution ( actual in code and proposed in the mockup ).

Hey, I need some help with the current adjustments I am making:

The tone response curve widget is new, but I am wondering how to arrange things so they look neater.

A couple of things can be stuck into tooltips, but the minimum amount of things I would like to have available are:
* Both widgets.
* The whitepoint.
* And I am not sure whether we should but the estimated gamma in the tooltip for the toneresponse curve or leave it like it is.

The Red/Green/Blue can go into the tooltip for the CIETongue widget, and the toneresponse curve will also have information on the sample points for the curve.
How can this be arranged best?
