Hello everyone,
I was thinking a lot about it, before asking you this feature, so I found a solution I liked and here I am. When I switch from normal brush to eraser brush, I have no feedbach if the brush is the normal one or the eraser. Ok I have the name appearing in the toolbar, but my request is: is it possible to have another and faster feedback when the eraser is on? I was thinking the brush shape could have an "X" on it, just thin lines resembling an "X", big enough as the brush shape is, so I know which brush I'm using. Ok, the story is sometimes get distracted, I don't remember, looking too much to what I drawn, you choose, then I start to draw and I shockly discover the eraser was still on or viceversa... saying I'm just human and a worst drawer can help? ![]() Thank you very much. |

I think this kinda of thing will more distracting than anything. i think the real solution is paying attention. Thats not to say i haven't forgot it was in erase mode from time to time, but that's what ctrl z is for
![]() If developers do decide to take this into account, i'd prefer it to be optional. |

Hello nharmony,
using ctrl+Z, well, of course it's natural, but it means I have to watch the keyboard, press two keys, then press E for switch to the brush I need, then I can paint... It seems to me more simple having a little X inside the brush shape then using ctrl+Z. Of course there should be an option, what someones need could be not useful for others. I'm asking for this solution, simply because the eraser brush has no tool icon, it doesn't exists "phisically" as brush, it's just a "status" that you turn on/off when paining, because, if the eraser brush was in the palette with its own icon, it could be enough going to Krita preferences, then choosing Cursor shape -> Tool Icon and I'll have the icon brush changing according the selected brush, including the eraser. But this solution, which doesn't work because the eraser brush "doesn't exist/have icon", would be even more distracting, because I would have always the brush icon attached to the brush shape. Ciao. |
